what happens if i don’t respond to circuit cook county court summons for an accident in which Icaused damages

An insurance company is trying to sue me for accident I caused. It has been three since this accident has happened. Now there taking me to court for this. what would happen if i don’t appear respond or make an appearance? On the sheet it says I may be at fault and also have to pay for the attorney‘s court fees. I need advise.

If you go to court and have to pay damages you can work out something with judge ,if you dont go the plantif gets what they ask for.They can put a so called lien against anything you try to sell with the courts.Say you want to sell you car and make a profit ,if not under the table the plantif will get the money.
